Jane Ryan is an Irish artist. Born in Dublin, she grew up in Clontarf and is now married with four grown up daughters, living close by in the beautiful coastal town of Malahide.

Jane studied art at school, and took up painting again in recent years. She is primarily self taught, painting in her studio at home almost every day, and one day each week with a local art group. She exhibits regularly with a group of artists, 'Love Art', at 'People's Art' on St. Stephen's Green, and also at local exhibitions around Dublin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jane mainly paints in oils. The use of colour and texture makes her paintings instantly recognisable, giving a wonderful impasto finish. Seascapes and street scenes are a favourite to paint for Jane.

 

Jane says "Creating a painting evokes such a wonderful feeling of fulfilment and happiness, and when one of my paintings is acquired, and commissions completed, then that sense of joy and happiness is passed on to others".
